So, I watched a documentary called "Fat, sick, and nearly dead". It was very interesting. I was convinced to watch it by my brother, Alex. He has decided to start following the advise within the documentary. The diet is basically a cleansing fast... that consists of juicing vegetables and fruits, with nuts and seeds as an option. You drink the juiced mixes 5 x a day to help with your hunger. You can do this for a week or up to 6 weeks depending on what you desire.
My brother will be doing the 6 week fasting and I think I will do like 10 days. Then after your fast is done you basically just eat way healthier. No junk, no overly processed foods, and portion control. One thing to take into consideration is that for about the first couple days you feel tired or weak because of the detoxing, but after that you feel 100% better and full of energy. You will need to buy a juice extractor machine, which I am unsure what the price ranges are but my brothers that he just bought today (Jan 7th 2013) cost $60.
So I hope that I have similar results to those who were in the documentary, but you will find out! Ohhh I wont be starting till a few weeks when I get my paycheck to buy the juice extractor machine. After my 10 days I think I will slowly transition over to food-food. like after the detox the first week do 3 juices a day and like 1 meal or so a day then the next weeks do 1 juice a day and the normal "healthy" meals of like 3 a day...
If you are interested in doing something like this you could watch the documentary on netflix and discuss this with your doctor regardless.
