Buddy Fruit!

So I found these at Walmart produce section! These are to die for :).  Super healthy, 80 calories, different fruits, soooo good, no preservatives, do not have to be refridgerated until opened, no additional coloring, and simply can take on the go! They taste similar to the consistancy of applesauce, but a COMPOW of flavor. I personally have like at least 1 a day. :) You can find coupons for them online, though they are pretty good priced already. My favorite flavor is Raspberry/Cranberry mix. Ohhh so yummy!

Be You

If you are...

YES.

Simple Yummy Healthy Breakfast!

So I discovered these Dole: Shakers, and have to say they are a brilliant invention! You add whatever juice you crave and SHAKE! Smoothie is made with fruit & yogurt. It has 5g protein or fiber (see bottle), yogurt contains pre & probiotics, and my favorite (mixed berry) has 100 calories before juice addition! It is so good and I have one a day.

Have fun like a kid!

No matter....

Day 6...

It has been a struggle so far. I need to make more healthier choices. I have lost 5 pounds but the scale could be lying :). It could be water weight or normal fluctuations of my body.

One thing I have found to be a life saver and totally recommend for others to try is....... are you ready? ITALIAN ICE. I <3 it! It is like the guilt-free YUMMY option instead of ice cream or sherbert or frozen yogurt. I guess there are so many flavors out there of italian ice. There is watermelon, peach, strawberry, lemon, & etc.

My favorite flavor is lemon. Even my 5 year loves it! :) Its like 100 calories a serving and lasts a long time for me because I slowly eat it. I personally don't care for anything that is sugar free, but for those of you interested in sugar free options, there is sugar free italian ice as well. I found my italian ice at the local walmart freezer section, but my local store only has strawberry and lemon... :(. Try it, I bet you'll love it too! :)

Think about it.

You can do it!

You HAVE the power

Habits

Im on an "Amazing Journey" to boost my health, happiness, confidence, and energy. This is more of like my own personal journal to keep myself accountable. I am currently a single mom of a 5 yr old and a full-time senior college student at a four year university. I strive to be a good role model to my son and to others around me, but am struggling with my weight.

Throughout my former years I have bounced back and forth from heavy, chubby, and fit. After I had my son five years ago I did not lose any of my baby weight and struggled with my self confidence, which of course I am still working on. From the challenges I faced becoming a single mother at the age of 19, normal daily stresses, and somewhat of a depression I sadly turned to food, well JUNK FOOD for encouragement. It hurts to actually type that statement, but it is the truth and my goal is the face the truth, battle it, then win this war. :)

My goal is not to be skinny. I want to be strong, fit, healthy, happy, confident, and be an inspiration to others. Taking my height and weight into account, the happiest I have ever been with my body was when my BMI was around 22 to 23. Starting this first day of this official "battle", I am 40.8 BMI. Wow, almost (close) to double what my ideal BMI is.

I know I have been mentioning BMI alot and I know in some cases BMI is not an ideal measuring tool. Individuals that have very dense bones or are muscular can show higher BMI's than others.

I hope that by doing this blog will help me stay accountable and possibly inspire others in some way or another.
